Public Association "Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union" announces call for proposals for vacant position of lawyer in Kiev office
The functions of a lawyer include:
- Providing legal advices, preparation of legal documents and legal representation in the courts and authorities;
- Preparation of applications to the European Court of Human Rights and other international bodies;
- Coordination of out-reach lawyers in cases supported by the Union;
- Analysis of legislation and laws on various areas of human rights;
- Preparation of legal reports, legal positions;
- Summarising information and preparation of analytical materials;
- Preparation of briefs on cases and participating in preparation of media publication;
- Other responsibilitie depending on current projects.
Duration: full-time in an office in the city of Kiev.
Requirements for candidates:
- Higher legal education;
- Initiative, communication skills and personal motivation to work in the field of human rights;
- Analytical thinking;
- The ability to learn;
- Creativity;
- Discipline;
- The ability to work in team;
- Ability to work with most common computer applications;
- Fluency in Ukrainian and Russian (verbal and written skills);
- Knowledge of English and /or French;
Criteria welcome and give you an edge:
- The Bar's license.
