Besides its main activities UHHRU is also initiated a number of special projects related with defence of human rights. Among them there are Docudays UA International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival and the anti-award for violators of human rights “Budyak roku” (“Thistle of the Year”). UHHRU is also a co-founder of organizations such as the legal aid exchange “Pro Bono”, “Human Rights Agenda” platform and the charitable organization “Ukrainian Legal Aid Foundation”. The Union is also a member of the “Justice for Peace in Donbas” coalition.
