The guide is an attempt to systematize the foundations of legislation, experience, and results of civil activism, as well as good practices that can become instruments for the implementation of effective local democracy.

In the guide, we tried to demonstrate the connection between local democracy and human rights and how to effectively protect and promote human rights through local campaigns and direct mechanisms for direct participation. The text itself is based on practical examples, tips, and hints on the use of techniques and instruments of public pressure on government officials and cooperation for solving social problems. The guide will be useful for civil society activists, politicians and anyone who tries to promote the idea of ​​human rights through their actions.
