The Chuhuiv Human Rights Protection Group has resumed publishing of the “Rights of Internally Displaced Persons” newspaper in Kharkiv Region. The newspaper is a special issue of the “Legal POSITION” newspaper.

The special Issue “Rights of Internally Displaced Persons” is published in the framework of the Chuhuiv Human Rights Protection Group’s initiative “Strengthening civil society, journalist community and Integration of IDPs in Kharkiv Region” with the support of the Consulate General of Germany in Donetsk with a temporary office in Dnipro.

The newspaper is about the problems of IDPs, living in Kharkiv, how CHRPG experts and other volunteer organizations provide them with legal and social assistance and contain information from relevant studies and legal advice.

According to Roman Lykhachev, a leading analyst of the Chuhuiv Human Rights Protection Group, the idea of publishing the newspaper came after communication with IDPs. The latter had repeatedly said that they require specialized information, but not always have access to the Internet.

We recall that “POSITION. Rights of Internally Displaced Persons” came in the form of a report of CHRPG in December 2015 – August 2016. Now human rights defenders have made a newspaper for IDPs regular.
