In June 2019 UHHRU Documentation Center will complete the investigation regarding missing servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The incident happened in autumn 2014.

During joint with Hromadske TV work in the project regarding material violation of the International Humanitarian Law at the territory of the armed conflict, UHHRU Documentation Center questioned and documented the evidence provided by the relatives and witnesses. The facts of severe crimes in relation to the captured servicemen of the 40^th territorial defense battalion will be the basis for filing the case with the International Criminal Court.

Their relatives and close friends still hope for their return.

The project is implemented as part of the joint competition of the International Renaissance Foundation and UN Development Program with financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark “Fighting impunity for large scale human rights violation and other international crimes committed in the conditions of armed conflict”.
