the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union, which is implementing the USAID Human Rights in Action Project, expresses sincere and heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the founding of your organization!

We would like to express our gratitude to you for your strong support of the projects, aimed, in particular, at the protection of human rights and freedoms. Because of your interest in important social issues, together we strengthened the process of democratic reform and initiated positive changes to protect the rights of different categories of persons in various areas. These steps are especially needed in the situation of the armed conflict in our country, because fundamental human rights, including the right to life, in such circumstances, are frequently violated and leveled. The cooperation with you has allowed to implement a number of initiatives, aimed at drawing attention to human rights issues, including monitoring visits to the frontline regions, campaigns on documenting human rights violations, free legal aid to citizens, educational and informational activities and a number of successful strategic litigations that will continue to serve as an important precedent for human rights protection.

We wish you inexhaustible enthusiasm and inspiration that you give to other organizations and a huge impetus to institutional development! Also, we thank you for the efforts that USAID aims at solving difficult problems to reach positive social changes in Ukraine.
