Arkady Bushchenko, UHHRU Executive Director notes: “There is always a choice, even when it seems like there’s none. It’s very easy to simply give up and blame anybody and everybody for your life not working out. To say that you were born in the wrong country, that you’ve got the wrong people around you, that you’re in the wrong place, etc. It’s harder to begin doing something to change the situation which you don’t like. To look for alternative ways, to join forces to achieve your aim.
And all of this begins with the ability to look at a situation from a distance and smile. As Confucius said: “To complain about unpleasant things is to double the evil. To laugh at them is to destroy it”.
The following are the prizewinning entries
1st place Velmozhko Sergey, Zaporozhye
2nd place Dove Victor Zdolbuniv
3rd place Riabokon Sergei, Kyiv
