Media Initiative for Human Rights and Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union, in partnership with the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, invite you to join our upcoming Zoom conference to discuss the Strategy for the Deoccupation and Reintegration of Crimea on Thursday, April 1, 2021, from 13:00 to 14:30.

On March 11, 2021, the National Security and Defense Council adopted the Crimean Strategy – a cornerstone document that determines key priorities and principles of state policy in the context of deoccupation and reintegration of the Russia-occupied peninsula. It’s a long-awaited document that was developed by a number of government agencies, particularly the National Security and Defense Council, the Office of the Presidential Representative in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, with the involvement of the non-governmental sector.
The document’s adoption received all kinds of responses from the public, both positive and critical.
Furthermore, as is often the case with such documents, after the Strategy’s adoption comes the issue of its implementation.
Who will be implementing it, when is it going to happen and what’s the action plan for this? What will be the non-governmental sector’s role in this process?
We would like to discuss this issue as well as the public response to the Strategy’s adoption with representatives of the government and civil society.
