The expert discussion “The second year of the National Human Rights Strategy implementation: what has changed?”

The ‘Participant Training Program’ project, the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union and the Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights invite to participate in the expert discussion “The second year of the National Human Rights Strategy implementation: what has changed?”
The event will take place within the roundtable to be held at the Big Conference Hall of America House on April 12 (Wednesday) from 12.30 to 15.30 (address: 6 Pymonenka Str.). Registration will begin at 12:10.
The aim of the event is to identify obstacles to the National Human Rights Strategy implementation, to analyze the experience of Sweden and Georgia in implementing human rights strategies and the possibility of its use in Ukraine, to suggest ways of stakeholder’s cooperation in order to improve the human rights protection in Ukraine.
Participants of the roundtable are representatives of public authorities-executors of the National Human Rights Strategy, the Office of the Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, organizations-monitors, civil society organizations, associations of local authorities, international organizations, and experts.
In order to assist in the implementation of the Strategy, the experience in implementing human rights strategies of Sweden, which Ukrainian experts got familiar with during the training program “Development, monitoring, and evaluation of the National Human Rights Strategy and the Action Plan for its implementation”, organized by the office of the ‘Participant Training Program’ project’ and the US Agency for International Development (USAID), will be presented.
The working language of the event is Ukrainian.

In order to register as a participant of the roundtable, it is necessary to register at the ‘Participant Training Program’ project’ web page (http://ptp.ceume.org.ua/en/) and log in with your username and password to your personal account. In the section “LIST OF CURRENT EVENTS”, please chose “The second year of the National Human Rights Strategy implementation: what has changed?” and continue to register by filling out a short questionnaire.
